PUBLIC FIGURES ; THE ZEROES AMONG HEROES

PUBLIC FIGURE

DEFINITION:

A famous person whose life and behavior are the focus of intense public interest and scrutiny.
Law : A person who is determined to be sufficiently well-known or famous as to prevail in a lawsuit for libel or slander only when the defendant is shown to have acted with malice.

Public Figures are integral to the development of a society , they give people the hope that one day they too can make it  , and even if they can't make it , they can bring up someone to be like just that Public figure he/she admired so much.

Some Public Figures take their role for granted and sometimes get over the line and for what -- Personal satisfaction.
Its hurts to hear about your Role Model acting unruly and getting out of line ; It almost feels the same as getting your heart broken for the first time or being neglected by your best friend when you needed them most -- it hurts that bad!

Here are 3 Ghanaian Public Figures who went out line Recently  .

1. Yvonne Nelson

Yvonne Nelson is one of the most beautiful and gifted  Talents in Ghana . She speaks about beauty , she speaks about self empower , She speaks for women rights , name it! she does it all , but quite recently she's been on the news for some unworthy public figure actions .
As a person who speaks about female empowerment , getting pregnant with an alleged married man doesn't speak much of  empowerment and running out and throwing unworthy tantrums on another Public Figure on bringing up your story doesn't really speak well of you.
She is Human and yes she is subject to mistakes -- who isn't , but as a role model , you should know when to take a step back and set things right.
She Motivated millions of girls in Africa and now she has broken millions.

2.Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa

popularly known as Afua Schwarzenegger-- did I get the spelling right ; Valentina  has been on the news for all the bad reasons .
From her fracas with Hon. Ken. Agyapong to her alleged Promiscuity   , her name has been on the lips of gossipers and haters all over Ghana -- rightfully deserved ? of-course not!
Valentina wasnt that notorious some years ago , she was infact the opposite . She was freestyle and feisty and every lady wanted to have that "Afua" spirit around her .
Time took its toll and now she one of the most disliked celebrities in town . She used to be a role model and now she is seen by her fans as a disappointment.
We imagined her to be a member of parliament or the next Oprah but our dreams were crushed by her actions  --sad!.
Will she change to old Afua ?  Huge Huge doubt! but if that miracle happens then hallelujah

3. Nana Aba Anamoah

Never liked Nana Aba Anamoah and its not that she is a "Man U" fan  and I'm a Chelsea Fc fan , it's just that Blue and Red doesn't really make a good mix -- it gets too purplish .

Aside from my "Football Hatred" I admire Nana Aba , she has that enthusiastic spirit and if you have not noticed; She has a smile on , even if she is not smiling , its almost as if her face was structurally engineered for smiling-- too bad she is a "Red devil"  .

why is she here ?
She stood up against sexual harassment! [cheers and applause ] , and in doing so went overboard [sad face]

Nana Aba responded harshly to a tweet with regards to her " big headlights " by a probably no life basement squatter .
In her reply , she uttered the insult "sia"-- a refined form of "kwasia" to the "No lifer" and people did not like it at all .
some said she was too harsh and others felt broken because their role model didn't act any differently to her abusive "No lifer"
She tweeted again in responds that she doesn't have time for her fans -- those who commented on her harsh statement [Sad face]
Nana Aba's harsh responds delivered the opposite of what she intended and as a role model , she is telling girls to stoop low as their abusers --which shouldn't be so!

Women are abused all the time and the sad thing is the abusers ,mostly men don't  care . It really hurts to see women verbally abused and all they  do is to act along .Thankfully Nana Aba has started a trend and hopefully more women can join.

Thank you for reading .... see ya
